POSITION SNAPSHOT

  • Reports to: Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer.
  • Location: Global, HQ-based with regional supply chain hub travel; specifics disclosed to qualified candidates.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Global CSCO owns end-to-end supply chain strategy, from sourcing and procurement through logistics and supplier risk management, ensuring resilience against tariffs, semiconductor shortages, and multi-tier supplier disruption in a volatile trade environment.

MARKET CONTEXT

Scarcity is high, particularly for candidates combining multi-tier supplier risk expertise with data fluency and trade compliance knowledge; talent shortages restrict digital transformation at a majority of Tier 1 and technology component suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute global sourcing, dual-sourcing, and supplier diversification strategy to mitigate tariff and geopolitical risk.
  • Lead multi-tier supplier risk management, including semiconductor and critical raw material dependency mapping.
  • Own logistics, inventory, and just-in-time (JIT) delivery performance across global manufacturing sites.
  • Build data and analytics capability within the supply chain function, leveraging ERP, WMS, and predictive analytics tools.
  • Partner with the COO and CFO on cost optimization, working capital management, and capital expenditure related to supply chain infrastructure.
  • Lead trade compliance coordination with legal and government affairs teams on tariffs and export controls.
  • Develop nearshoring and regionalization strategies, particularly across North America and the CaliBaja corridor.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing global supply chain organization with strong data fluency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 12-15+ years of supply chain leadership experience, including senior VP or CSCO-level roles in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
  • Deep expertise in multi-tier supplier management, JIT systems, and global sourcing across semiconductor-dependent supply chains.
  • Strong data fluency, including ERP/WMS systems and analytics tools (Power BI, Python); ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating tariffs, trade compliance, and nearshoring strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business; advanced degree or ASCM certification preferred.
  • Proven track record managing supply chain risk during geopolitical or economic disruption.
  • Cross-border experience, ideally spanning U.S., Mexico, and Asia-based supply networks.
