THE OPPORTUNITY
The COO oversees end-to-end operations spanning design, manufacturing, and commercial execution, serving as the linchpin for scaling multi-site global operations.
MARKET CONTEXT
As companies expand across a diverse set of regional ecosystems, from end-to-end capability hubs to large analog manufacturing footprints and advanced-node expansions, COOs must coordinate execution across fundamentally different operating environments simultaneously.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct end-to-end operational execution across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer delivery.
- Coordinate execution across multiple fab and design-center regions with differing operating environments.
- Drive operational efficiency, cost management, and capacity planning at the enterprise level.
- Partner with the CEO and CFO on capital allocation and long-range operating plans.
- Lead integration efforts for acquisitions, joint ventures, and new site launches.
- Build and mentor a senior operating leadership bench across functions.
- Represent operational performance and strategy to the board and public-market analysts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 18-20+ years of operations leadership experience, including multi-site or multi-region P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record scaling simultaneous fab or design-center expansions.
- Strong public-company governance experience, including analyst and board-facing communication.
- Demonstrated success integrating acquisitions or joint ventures at scale.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
