THE OPPORTUNITY

The CFO manages capital allocation amid heavy capex cycles, investor relations, and complex cross-border financial structuring tied to CHIPS Act grants and tax credits.

MARKET CONTEXT

Public-company governance standards and heightened capex intensity from multi-billion-dollar fab investments put a premium on CFOs experienced in large-scale manufacturing capital deployment. CFO searches undergo some of the deepest diligence of any executive role, including confidential reference work with former independent directors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own overall financial strategy, planning, and capital allocation for the organization.
• Manage investor relations, public-market reporting, and board financial communications.
• Oversee capital budgeting for large-scale fab and infrastructure investments.
• Structure and manage CHIPS Act grants, tax credits, and related government funding programs.
• Lead financial due diligence for M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Build and manage a high-performing finance, accounting, and treasury organization.
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting and public-company governance requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 15-20+ years of progressive finance leadership, including public-company CFO or senior finance executive experience.
• Deep capital-markets fluency and experience managing large-scale capex programs.
• Prior semiconductor or complex-manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA credential preferred.
• Track record of successful investor relations and analyst engagement.
