THE OPPORTUNITY
The Chief People Officer / VP Human Capital leads workforce strategy, leadership development, and talent retention, serving as a central figure in private equity value-creation strategy where talent depth is frequently the primary constraint on portfolio growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and execute enterprise-wide workforce planning and leadership development strategy.
- Build structural retention programs, including global mobility, career pathing, and training and development initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and PE ownership on human-capital-driven value creation.
- Lead executive succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
- Build human-capital metrics and reporting frameworks to inform board-level decision-making.
- Navigate Mexico’s informal labor market, comprising roughly 54-55% of the workforce, to expand access to formally trained talent.
- Oversee compliance with the 2026 40-hour workweek reform and other evolving labor regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of senior HR leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing, life sciences, or PE-backed platforms.
- Demonstrated experience building retention and leadership-development programs in Mexico.
- Strong grasp of human-capital metrics and workforce analytics.
- Experience partnering directly with CEOs and PE ownership groups on value-creation initiatives.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
